Hi all! I’m so sorry things have been so quiet here on the blog. I was sick for a little bit and I just started consulting again and it’s been tough to balance it all. But I’m here! Thanks for sticking by me and being curious about where I’ve been. Love you guys! Back to business here I wanted to share a look I posted for The Outfit, all about wearing your favorite white pieces this fall.
Whoever came up with the (now quite outdated) rule that you shouldn’t wear white after Labor Day is dead wrong—and shame on us for ever scratching our heads about it! The notion that you can’t integrate your snow-hued favorites into your fall and winter wardrobe is insane! In fact, one of my favorite looks consists of a white button-down, white skinny jeans and sky-high black pumps. You can also try pairing a white skirt with your favorite black turtleneck and a black moto jacket. Or, grab your favorite white blazer and try the outfit I tackled below!
A white blazer is one of the easiest items to transition into cooler temperatures—it’s the perfect layering piece!
Layer it over a contrasting neutral—like this gray t-shirt—which also adds a casual vibe.Pair it with a bold fall color, like navy, green or bordeaux. I picked a faux leather pencil skirt in this rich wine hue.Add a print to the mix! Animal anything is basically a neutral—plus, it helps break up all the solid-colored pieces elsewhere in this outfit.
