Something about the heat makes me so lazy when it comes to my daily makeup routine. I have narrowed down my day to day beauty regimen which in return gives me more time to sleep in every morning, especially on days when I have meetings. Yes, I wear makeup to work from home. It’s the only way I truly wake up. I’ve been into this fresh faced look, the kind where you can actually see your skin, I’ve added a glow and I’ve given lips center stage with bright tutti-frutti colors.
Beauty Counter Tinted Moisturizer: the makeup artist and creative genius behind Beauty Counter used this on my face for the Target shoot and HOOKED me. It’s called Dew Skin Tinted Moisturizer and it does exactly that, gives my skin this dewey luminous glow I just love! It’s lightweight and has SPF 20. I plan to mix it with my foundation for fall and winter, because who doesn’t want that extra glow year round. (Beauty Counter, $42)
Too Faced Chocolate Bronzer: The Bonjour Soleil Bronzer palette is all you’ll need to make sure you have that summer glow through the fall. With a matte bronzer that’s perfect for contouring or all over, a shimmer version if you’re going for more of a glow in the areas you want to highlight and a shimmery highlighter to bring out those cheekbones. It’s been one of my favorites for a while! And it smells like chocolate. Bonus. It’s also on SALE $39.60 Too Faced.
I keep it easy when it comes to shadows sticking to stick or cream shadows. I have two favorites at the moment Bobbi Brown’s long-wear shadow stick in Goldstone ($29, Sephora). I love the shimmery golden shade which I wear day and night. For a more affordable option at just ($6.29, Target), Cover Girl’s Bombshell Cream Shadow in Copper Fling is my FAVORITE drugstore cream shadow and one that really stays on. Another great shade for day and night with just the right amount of shimmer.
I finish with a few coats of mascara. Lately I’ve been all about Lancome’s Grandiose, $32, Sephora, gives me all of the volume and thickening I need.
All about brights! A pop of color has been my way of screaming summer without having to say a word. And while there are so many options I’m obsessing with these three shades from Too Faced Melted line- Melted Violet, Melted Melon and Melted Fuchsia. The pigment is on point and it’s longwear, so don’t have to worry about reapplying. (Too Faced, $21)
