See, working from home and being your own #girlboss can be a blessing and a curse. Hear me out. I love the flexibility of “making my own schedule” type of thing, but I do feel lonely sometimes! The downside for me is not being in an office environment. Occasionally, all I want is an office buddy for post lunch Coffee Klatch or creative brainstorming. Plus other stimulating perks you get from human interaction. So when I heard that there was going to be a “smartwater up up up lounge” where a select group of bloggers could work out of, interact with other content creators (hi human beings) and feel inspired (gimme some of that!), I couldn’t get there fast enough. Before coming to my DR trip (you know I’m on the beach right now. sorry you’re not, kiss kiss.), I spent most days working from this awesome space, which was such a nice change of scenery.
The design of the space is inspired by clouds, obvi and they set up a cloud room where I shot way too many gifs (I’m sure you’ve seen on my Instagram). We also got to hang out with Richard Clarkson, the designer behind the uber cool workspace and the clouds that adorned the ceiling. Which by the way, these fluffy clouds produce motion-triggered lightning and thunder performance. For real.
I’m elated that the space will still be open when I get back to reality next week. Sigh. Not only is smartwater keeping me happily hydrated this summer, but also keeping me inspired. After seeing this pictures, wouldn’t you want to work here too? I’m a lucky gal, there’s no doubt about it.
