Music met fashion at the Grammy’s red carpet— ladies came to sing, to win, but inevitably some fell short. Hey, not everyone can be a winner and that’s okay because some gals took chances and gave us so much talk about on social media. It wasn’t hard to put this list of best and worst dressed together. What became very difficult was deciding where to put Rihanna, who stopped me in my tracks as she sashayed down the red carpet in a dress that made me think, Quineañera slash cake topper slash kinda perfect because ONLY she can wear a dress like that. She’s in a new category I call: I can’t make up my mind, but I kinda love it. Here we go!
Gwen Stefani hit a homerun in this Versace jumpsuit! My absolute favorite of the night. The hair & makeup complemented the entire look perfectly. #winning
Taylor Swift never disappoints and I’m so glad she brought that much needed pop of color to the red carpet. Loved the contrasting shoe, her earrings, makeup, and hair. Always flawless.
Let’s hear it for Jessie J. She looked gorgeous in this Ralph & Russo gown. A completely polished look from head to toe, that sleep hair and vamp lip made it all come together very nicely.
Katy Perry said she wanted to shine like a diamond and she sure did in this Zuhair Murad dress. Loved the hair, makeup, dress, shoes– perfect!
Jennifer Hudson looked impeccable in Tom Ford. So simple and understated, but a winning look.
When bad clothes happen to good people!!!! CharliXCX my head is spinning.
Madge! You are the queen and because of you I will bust my butt at the gym tomorrow, but this outfit? Eeeeek!
Kim Kardashian has boxing gloves in those pockets. Robes can be glam too.
We call this Swiffer Extreme, available at HSN. Sia?! We want to see your beautiful face!
Lady Gaga in Brandon Maxwell, too much skin, bursting out everywhere. Sexy gone wrong.
OH Rihanna, thanks for giving us all so much to talk about and tweet about and think about. Sure that dress looks like a Dominican cake topper and maybe I would’ve picked this dress had I had a Quinceañeara 20 years ago, and even after all is said and done- I kinda love it. And you for taking a huge risk and making it work for you. I give you Rihanna in Giambattista Valli.
